INDIVIDUAL SUPERVISION
Supervision is an integral part of the course. These sessions will be
arranged separate to the weekends at a time that suits you on a one to
one basis with your tutor.
Individual supervision enables you to get all the attention you need to
overcome any personal difficulties on your way to being a successful
practitioner.
You
will get detailed advice on all your practical work and guidance with
your exams, which is probably why the Academy has such a high pass rate
– 95% over the past four years.
To
obtain the Foundation Course certificate a one and a half hour
personal tuition is necessary. For this you must have done 20 hours
homework, including five full body massages. You need to complete this
supervision before moving on to the practitioner’s course.
The
Advanced Supervision is particularly aimed at helping you through
the exam and consists of two sessions, for which you do a further 50
hours of massage on a variety of people.
Session 1
To inform you on the practical and theoretical side of your exam,
feedback on homework and refinement of touch through practical work on
the teacher.
Session 2
Feedback on essays project and homework. The clinical situation mock
exam.
Exams
Before applying for your exam you will need to do a practical test,
which will determine whether or not you are ready. Acceptance is at the
discretion of the Academy tutors.
